NC DETECT ED Visit Data Quality

This dashboard displays emergency department (ED) visit volume, trends in unknown/missingness for key data elements, and monthly trends in ICD-9-CM code (2008 – September 2015) and ICD-10-CM code (October 2015 to present) completeness. ICD code completeness is defined as the percentage of ED visits that have at least one code. County is based on the recorded patient county of residence for the ED visit. Those using NC DETECT data should keep these data quality indicators in mind when performing analyses.
